Where Do You Place Your Hands On The Steering Wheel?
I was taught you are supposed to have your hands at 10 and 2 when driving. Turns out, 10 and 2, according to AAA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is no longer the safest way to hold onto the steering wheel. 10 and 2 can lead to serious injury when there is an airbag deployment. Now the suggested place to grip the steering wheel is 9 and 3. Check out this recent article explaining the dangers of 10 and 2.
Please be careful out there, and if you think about it, put your hands at 9 and 3!
